Edo Central Politics: We are too Smart to be Deceived.

Let me state clearly: The article written by one Innocent Omozokpia and published in an Esanblog of 24th June, 2017, is not only hollow but falsehood that emerged from idle gossips and cesspool of cynicism; a worthless piece of work sponsored by political proxy aimed at casting aspersions on these illustrious political pillars from Esan land and painting them in bad light with ultimate aim at bringing them disrepute with the Governor and Edo people in general.

Interestingly, Omozokpia wrote his presumptuous and conclusive write-up without consulting any of the five APC's aspirants-APC ASPIRANTS HAVE NO PLIGHT!!!"

In my years of experience, I have never read such ill motivated piece set in bigotry and deception to tarnish the good reputation of Noble Kinsmen.

Let facts speak for itself. Omozokpia claimed as follow that:

"Obaseki used and dumped the five Esan APC governorship aspirants from Edo central in the 2016 governorship race".

That claim is factually wrong and an attempt to belittle the efforts of Esan APC's guber aspirants and an expired strategy to deceive unsuspecting members of the public, particularly from Edo Central.

First of all, let me say without mincing words that the action of the writer is quite unfortunate because it doesn’t portray him as a good investigative journalist but rather shows effort to smear the names of the five APC's governorship aspirants who contested in the Edo state governorship primary race last year because he never contacted them before going to the press.

In his journey of blackmail, he further averred:

"After the primaries, Obaseki reached out to them and pleaded with them to work for him while promising to reward them with juicy positions and mouth watering contracts once he assumes office. The state leaders of the party further lent credence to the "sweet talk" when they promised to zone the Secretary to the State Government or chief of Staff position to Esan Land to compensate the area for losing out of the party's Governorship and Deputy Governorship tickets which were grabbed by Edo South and Edo North respectively. This promise was said to have fired the five Esan APC aspirants into action as it was believed that one of them would pick up the position while the rest would settle for contracts should Obaseki emerge victorious."

What a copious and presumptive lies. Oh mine! I shiver the effortless way Omozokpia manufactured lies. Were you present or amongst the aspirants during the meeting where the agreement was signed?

Many had thought after the disgraceful rejection of Ize-Iyamu and his band of shameless PDP`s propagandist by Edo people, and rudderless sail both in the election tribunal and appeal courts respectively, which confirmed that political herdsmen will never defeat the will of the people, they will at least stop their ululations. Ala! Not so! Fiends and carpenters disguising as journalists are still fouling the air with their stinks.

Omozokpia in wishful imagination, further stated:

"...(the aspirants) plunged head long into the murky waters of guber campaign in their respective local government areas. Some became emergency philanthropists sharing wrappers, rice and other food items to entice the people. They mounted a very serious campaign for Obaseki and did all they could to sell him to the electorate. At the of end of it all, Obaseki was declared the winner of the September 28 2016 Governorship Election"

YES! After the primaries, a winner emerged and to ensure that Esan is not completely isolated and made pariah district in Edo politics, which PDP has consigned Esan land, coupled with the fact that they are noble men of political far-sight and insight, as well as disciplined party members, they decided to campaign for their candidate Obaseki, with or without any prompting from Obaseki. What is wrong as a party member?

An Esan adage states: "Cheap mind believes everybody is cheap". Omozokpia best interprets the common theory of his party PDP:

"I am not, others are not better either".

This fiend from the stable of Moloch, even desecrated the throne of Lucifer when he claimed as follows:

"After losing out of the juicy positions, some of the aspirants including Arc. Ilenre Emuan and Martins Ataman lobbied for commissionership positions.

"Earlier (early) in the week, the full list of commissioner-nominees was submitted to the state House of Assembly by the governor and their names were conspicuously missing".

Though I am not holding brief for Austin Emuan or Chief Matthew Atamah (not Martins), I know they will never dignify this hollow and mendicant mind Omozokpia.

But going beyond the veil, it is clear the target of Omozokpia effort in perfidy is Arc. Austin Ilenre Emuan. This article is meant to dis-market the young man, whose profile in Edo Central is rising daily. Omozokpia´s benefactors know with his pedigree, background, insight and beauty of mind, sun is set for their political careers in Esan land.

Arc. Austin Ilenre Emuan's unit, ward and local government executives were utterly surprised when he declared no interest in commissionership. Emuan believes one don't need to be a commissioner before he or she can impact their environment positively. Even officially to the ignorant of Omozokpia that under this state government, there are guidelines for the positions released so far.
In his conclusion, Omozopkia claimed that:

"This is the plight of the five Esan APC governorship aspirants who are currently counting their losses and licking their wounds in silence.".

What a shallow and warped mind to write such! In all, Omozokpia and his types must grow up as Esan politics is growing very fast.
