Edo 2016: We No Longer Need the Old Career Politicians, Elite Group tells Arc. Emuan as they endorse Him.

BENIN CITY-Edo State political class, under the auspices of Esan United Youth Forum, has endorsed a governorship aspirant in the state, Arc Ilenre Austin Emuan, as their candidate for the 2016 governorship election in the state. It coincided with the official presentation of the invitation letter of Arc Emuan as the Guest Speaker at the Edo Cultural Summit 2016 that will take place on the 28th April, 2016 in Benin City organized by the Edo Legacy Foundation, INC Worldwide.

One of the National Coordinators of the group, Don Odiase Fidel, who disclosed this to our pressman when he led over 1,000 members of the group, drawn from the five  local government areas  that make up Edo central senatorial district on a solidarity visit to Arc. Emuan country home, said they were convinced that Emuan represented true change that the Edo people wanted.

According to Odiase, “Edo people are tired of recycling the same old politicians with outdated policies and ideas that do not work. It is true old politicians may have experience, but memories of the past have shown us that such experiences are rife with bribery and political corruption.

We no longer need the old career politicians who will continue with the same old policies of settlement, god-fatherism and business as usual, sharing and siphoning our commonwealth.”

Responding, Arc Emuan commended them for their foresight and reassured them that he would deliver if elected governor of the state.

“I humbly appreciate you today my people, I will make you proud if elected. Mind you my people, many detractors believe that your endorsement is mere cosmetic dressing, I want you to proof them wrong by mobilizing those party delegates in your respective areas to nominate me as Apc flag bearer during the party primaries, June 2. Once am nominated which it is clearer to our people daily, we will have reasons to jubilate as the first step would have been passed successfully. PDP is waiting for the outcome of our primaries and once am victorious at the primaries; Edo state will experience mass decampees from PDP to our great party, APC. My people of Edo state want a young, vibrant and professional governor this time around and that person is me, Arc. Ilenre Austin Emuan”, he concluded.
