I am Arc. Ilenre Austin Emuan. I am a Chartered Architect; a Pro-life; a Passionate Environmental Activist, Distributive Development Expert, a Neo-Structural Student and Scholar, a Business Angel and a happy Family Man. I am equally a product of private and public experiences.
I know all Edo people are of the same ancestral stock and that we Edo people have always related mutually with one other in a just and fair manner and dwelt in a peaceful atmosphere, even before the state was created in 1991. I believe and fervently so, it is in this our great past lies our strength. And it is also important these attributes of fair play and justice are re-ingrained in the consciousness of every Edo person; and taken as the foundation upon which to actualize Edo dreams; promote inclusion and participation. Herein lies Edo’s prosperous future.
For me, Edo state is not just a geographically mistake, but a people divinely designed, prepared and destined to be the catalyst that will ignite the expected consequential change that will make the South-South geopolitical zone the strongest economic binary in Nigeria.
Edo is also uniquely located. It is the link-in-chain between South Western Nigeria to the East, South-South and South East to the key North Central and the far Northern states. The state is endowed with significant agricultural, mineral, marine and forest resources.
The state is very rich in natural endowment, these include: multiple vegetation zones, plentiful rain, surface water and underground water resources and moderate climatic extremes. These allow for production of diverse food and cash crops.
We have 18 Local Government Areas in Edo state. Each local government consists of communities that are culturally and ethnically bound and are a reservoir of natural resources that can be jointly exploited.
Also, Edo people are known for their individual self confident traits and this attitude is what made them excel and has earned them high acclaims anywhere they go or in anything they do. Unfortunately, Edo people are still not sufficiently mobilized to harness their individual industriousness into a collective success.
This is why, I Arc. Austin Ilenre Emaun, an architect and a distributive development expert I am in the best position and have entrepreneurial spirit and expertise of the weave bird, to lead Edo state as the Governor; come 2016.
My Background.
I was born on 8th August 1968 in Auchi, Etsako West Local Government, though I hailed from Egoro Kingdom of Esan West Local Government Area. I am married with Children. My hobbies are reading, poetry, and travelling. I believe endurance, courage and humility are the crucial attributes, upon which we shall mine the minds of young people of Edo state to build the future through innovative corporate governance, and entrepreneurial creativity that will create wealth and jobs that pay living wages.
Qualifications.
By the special grace of God, I am presently a doctorate student in view (2016) of Atlantic International University, majoring in International Business Diplomacy. I served my fatherland as a corper in 1993; after my masters (HONS) Architecture at AMBROSE ALLI UNIVERSITY 1992, and B.SC (HONS) Architecture from the same AMBROSE ALLI UNIVERSITY, in 1990.
Business Interest.
My interest spans media, farming and food processing, maritime, energy and environment, communication and policy consultancy; while I am presently Chairman, Education Committee, of Association of Consulting Architects of Nigeria.

I founded the Ambrose Alli University Architecture Forum. This was set-up to assist the development of Architecture in the University in my Alma Mata.
I have designed and supervised numerous housing, hospitality, and institutional infrastructural projects across Nigeria.
I sponsored and hosted the first ever World Environment Day in Nigeria. I l also co-sponsored subsequence Earth/Environment days since 2003 till date.
Sponsored and hosted JESSE Sustainable Green Summit 2008 In Partnership with Africa’s Development (NEPAD) to commemorate 10 years of the devastating oil and gas inferno where over 1000 lives lost during.
Set-up Oba of Benin Green Awards in 2012, as a vehicle to educate and enlighten traditional institutions and the general public in the South-South on the need to care for their immediate environment.
Set up Halt an Entrepreneurship NGO (Using the JESSE Summit as a pilot project to train and inspire youths on self-employment.
